Welcome to the 5 PM Money Room

We’re trying something new inside the Collective this month.

Every day at 5 pm, we’re going to open a small money conversation. Not a lecture. Not a perfect plan. Just one thoughtful check-in that helps you understand your money a little better and choose your next move with more clarity.

Today we’re starting with payoff order, because so many people carry more than one loan and then feel unsure which one deserves attention first. Car loan, student loan, credit card, personal loan, business loan, family loan. They can all ask for something at once.

So here is today’s question:

If your loans were sitting at a table together, which one would you want to have a clear plan for first?

You do not have to share numbers. You can just comment with the type of loan or the word “order” if you want to think about it privately.

If you save just $10/day and invest it at 10% interest, in 10 years you’ll have over $60,000.

That’s the power of consistency and compounding. Small actions really do add up to big results.

👉 What’s one small daily or weekly habit you can commit to this month that your future self will thank you for?

The average American spends $1,200/year on subscription services.

That’s a vacation, a debt payment, or a savings boost waiting to happen.

👉 In your Money Mastery System, filter by using a Subscriptions category. List all of your subscriptions as sub-categories.

Which ones light you up—and which ones can you let go of?

Tell us how much you will be saving monthly after you let go...

Music for Your Money Date

I created this playlist as the soundtrack for my own money work. It’s a mix—calm at times, empowering at times, and energetic at times—because money has all of those moods too.

👉 Listen on Spotify

Try putting this on in the background during your Monthly Reset Ritual or while you’re setting intentions for the week. See how the energy of the music shifts how you feel about working with your numbers.

Do you usually listen to music while you work on your money?

For the People Pleasers (You’ll Want to Hear This)

Marie Forleo has been one of my longtime mentors, and her podcast guests are always high quality. I saw the value in sharing this episode because so many of the women I work with say yes to everything—but themselves.

If you’ve ever found yourself overcommitted, stretched thin, or afraid to disappoint others, this conversation is worth your time.

👉 Listen on Spotify

(Marie Forleo’s podcast is also available on most major platforms if you don’t use Spotify.)

After you listen, let’s talk in the comments: Where in your life do you most want to stop saying yes out of obligation?

Call In Clients & Abundance for Soul-Based Entrepreneurs by Medha Murtagh

This is one of my favorite meditations on Insight Timer. It’s just 15 minutes—but it’s packed with inspiration and grounding. I’ll often listen to it on a car ride or a walk, and it never fails to shift my energy back into clarity and possibility.

👉 Listen here

If you’re new to Insight Timer, they offer a basic free plan that works perfectly for this. I personally use the paid version since I listen daily, but you can access this meditation with the free option.

Try it out before your Monthly Reset Ritual—or anytime you need a reminder that abundance and alignment go hand in hand.

After you listen, I’d love to hear: What shifted for you?

I want to share this video because it really struck a chord with me. Matthew McConaughey has a way of speaking that is clear, motivational, and matter-of-fact—and I respect that deeply.

👉 Watch here

If you’ve been needing a reminder of why it matters to keep showing up for yourself—especially when it comes to your money and your future—I think this will land with you too.

After watching, drop a note in the comments: What line or idea hit you the hardest?
